There’s all kinds of reasons why you’re not more successful as an artist.
I can almost guarantee the primary reason isn’t your skill.
It is far more likely your marketing efforts. (Or lack thereof)
People are far less interested in your end product than they are in your process or reasoning that brought you to that end product.
They want to know the story of who you are as an artist. They want to know the struggle of how you overcame your challenges. They want to understand what made you create what you created.
They want to know YOU.
Learning how to show and communicate that is CRITICAL to your success.
If you think you’re going to be able to just show the world your art and they’ll start buying, you are in for a rude awakening, because you are competing against a sea of other artists that are already doing that and more.
You MUST find your audience. And your audience will be made up of a collective of people who relate to you.
You’ve taught yourself how to create art. Now teach yourself how to connect with people ABOUT your art.
