It’s official. SDCC day 4 is in the books.

Highlights?

Todd McFarlane came by the booth to say hi, so that was insane.

Finally got to meet David in person and have a solid convo.

A young lady named Amanda, who was submitting a portfolio review, landed her first big gig and came over to celebrate her win with me. Which honestly made me tear up. Her face was just so lit up and she was so excited. I remember those moments myself, and the fact that she wanted to celebrate that accomplishment with me specifically was super special. Maybe the best moment of the whole con.

These conventions are absolutely bananas. It’s a whirlwind of chaos. It’s madness and insanity and 100 miles an hour for 5 days straight.

But getting to connect with all of you is absolutely the best experience, and I am SO grateful I made that mental shift to start doing more of them.

Next up? Terrificon? Maybe. Toronto? Maybe. Rose City (Portland) definitely. NYCC definitely. And, wait for it…

Japan at the end of the year.
