When inspiration appears

There are moments, like this, of pure inspiration… and they must be taken advantage of.

Like a bumbling, absent-minded artist, I forgot to include one of my client’s pieces of art in his order. I messaged him to let him know I was on top of it (after the fact of course 😅) and that I would get it shipped out ASAP.

While talking he asked if I still had the Deadpool Hearts piece I did last month. I said, “unfortunately, no”. My normal response is to simply state that I can always do one for them.

But this time, this EXACT image jumped in my brain. The idea of Wolverine making the hearts, but with one of Deadpool’s freshly sliced off arms.

I told him the idea, offered a special price considering my mistake with the forgotten other item, and he immediately jumped on board.

A mistake happened. I took responsibility, and that turned into an opportunity.

Be honest with yourself and your clients. You’ll be surprised at how much it can benefit you.

I love this piece so much. I probably would’ve done it whether he said yes or not. 😍
