Experiment… try new tools, new mediums, new techniques, and see what happens.

These 9 pieces were done yesterday over about 3.5 hours. My only desire was to let loose and see what happens.

I’m usually super focused on making sure I have nice shapes and great colors. Refining, refining, refining.

But that can soon start to feel like a cage. Like a self imposed trap that can suck all the fun out of art.

Art IS expression. And experimentation is how you discover something you never knew you always wanted.

Failure only occurs when you’re NOT working. So as long as you’re doing SOMETHING, then you’re growing.
