What I need a mattress for?

Don’t sleep!

If you approach me about a project, and I’m blunt, please understand, I absolutely do not think I’m better than you.

If I ask about where you’re at in your project, if you have funding, or if I point out your lack of social media or track record, please understand, I don’t think I’m better than you.

I KNOW how hard it is to get started. How hard it is to make a living in this world. How PASSION is the ONLY sustenance on this quest rife with starvation.

It took me 25 years of eating S#IT before I made anything resembling money. So when I ask about funding, it sure as hell isn’t because the only thing I think about is money. I would’ve quit long ago if that were the case.

TIME is my only commodity and 2.5 decades of investing it means these days I have less and less left to get where I’m going. So, naturally, I’m going to want to work with those who I believe will maximize that time.

I need to know I’m not the only one carrying the project. I need to know I’m going to be compensated as well or better than I’m ALREADY being compensated. I need to see that you’re as hard core about this life as I’ve been.

It’s not personal. It’s where I am, and I think it’s fair to say I’ve earned the right to be selective with my time.

But let me assure you… ALL OF YOU… I am, AT ALL TIMES, rooting for you. If you’re pursuing this life with your all, then I want YOU to win!

Just because I don’t say yes to you, doesn’t mean I’m not on your side.

I BEG you! Make me regret saying no.

Prove me a fool.

Because that would be the best thing in the world FOR YOU! And that makes me happy.
