There is no simple path

When you come across an artist’s work here on IG, or FB, or TT, it’s extremely common to see only the finished work, or only snippets of the process.

This can give the false impression that we artist’s work effortlessly. That our final product came about from a bloom of inspiration to magically appear on the page.

But that’s not realistic. The best artists struggle. The most skilled of us hit roadblocks. We are often plagued with doubt and indecision.

Clarity can often not come until long into the work. Vision is a walk through the most dense fog, only becoming more identifiable as we take each step closer to the final destination.

There is no simple path. There is only a better understanding of the looming journey required for each creation, and the patience needed to endure the inevitable obstacles.
