The question is: How honest can you be with YOURSELF?

It’s not enough to push through the naysayers and the haters.
It’s not enough to endure for the sake of enduring.
Skills can absolutely be honed and developed and improved.
But it’s equally important that you are able to be self critical without being self-defeating.
It’s equally important to cheer yourself on without being blind to your own flaws.
Humility isn’t about ignoring your gifts, or pretending to not recognize your skills when someone compliments you.
It’s about recognizing that neither praise nor ridicule are mutually exclusive.
God, or the universe, or luck might have given me this talent. But I’m the one that took it and turned it into something thru relentless hard work and dedication.
And it was just as possible for it to have amounted to nothing. And it’s still possible for all of this to go away.
The economy could crash. The world could fall apart. Disease. Mental health. Injury. These could all take away all the good that’s happening for me right now.
So I stay here, with you, in this moment…
Grateful for the love. The success. The opportunities.
But humble enough to know that there are others far more skilled. Proud enough to pat myself on the back but still aware that I still have much to learn.
So, how honest can you be with YOURSELF?
