The process of figuring out pose, angles, composition, dynamics and perspective has become one of my favorite parts of manifesting the characteristics of these iconic individuals.


Tanjiro’s sword wielding is certainly something that must be addressed if we want to portray him in his most badass element. But how do we take that to the next level?


Forced perspective and viewpoint of the “camera” is a critical element in creating the perception of action through a still image. I need it to feel like this is all happening right up in my face! Like if I don’t keep my distance, that flaming sword is going to cut me. 😅


I’m about ready for inks, but I’m not totally sold on his back leg. I may still do some tweaking there before moving on. But so far so good!
