Robots

I don’t do robots.

I mean… Obviously I DO. But they are taxing. And I don’t want to be tired and exhausted from drawing. I want to have as much fun as possible.

The client that requested this one has been with me since the beginning though. Literally was buying 1-2 pieces per month back when no one else was. So I reward that loyalty.

I’m sure I’d have more fun if I spent more time drawing them and learning their secrets. NGL, properly drawing mech does intrigue me…

Anyway, figuring out the pose on this one took some work. I finally found one that I liked and realized I had his cannon arm on the wrong side, hence the mirrored paper redraw in the beginning.

Overall this turned out slick and far better than I thought it might.

Just another reason to take on challenges just outside your comfort zone. 😉
