Outside of my comfort zone

Every challenge must be seen as brick placed in the skyscraper of your skillset.

I’m honestly not a huge fan of doing these remarks. They are tedious, and frustrating, and slow. And while I get an ok amount for each one, I can make more, more easily, with more enjoyment, doing most of my other artistic offerings.

But I consider this a special work for collectors of my books. I consider this as a development of patience and pattern. I consider this as reps to build very specific muscles.

So while it’s not my favorite thing to do, it has merit. It has value. It has meaning and purpose.

We often avoid the uncomfortable, and that keeps us in a state of mediocrity. Because greatness lies just outside of our comfort zones, and that’s what I’m striving for.
