Keep searching

There are just some things we’re naturally good at.

It’s not always easy to find, but it is ALWAYS worth whatever treacherous journey required to discover it.

I don’t know if you’ve found your thing yet, and I know how easy it is to fall into a sense of despair if you haven’t. But I assure you, there is SOMETHING.

Sometimes we want it to be something it isn’t. Sometimes we avoid something we know it is but wish it wasn’t because we don’t think it’s glamorous enough, or because we think others might laugh at it. Sometimes we’re close but still searching.

I hope if this message finds you it gives you the confidence to keep digging. To keep hunting. To keep trudging through the mud and know that someone out there believes in you.

I avoided mine for 2 decades because I didn’t believe in it. I didn’t believe in myself. Oddly enough I did everything else artistically because I didn’t think comics could pay the bills. And here I am, 3.5 years after rediscovering my love for this world, doing better than I ever thought possible.
