Tweaking and refining is required on some pieces more than others. Sometimes you have to adjust and move things around a dozen times before you find the right placement, or stroke, or angle.
But sometimes it comes out at nearly đź’Ż right off the bat. I did some rough sketches prior to this, but the placement and angle of the lifted foot was the only part of this drawing that pushed back on cooperating.
Days like that are the ones that make me realize how far I’ve come.
I didn’t start my art journey with a need for particular results on any given day. It was just something I enjoyed and was passionate about. I still have a very long way to go. But to look back and see where I started fills me with a sense of accomplishment and pride that is tough to beat.
Keep growing my friends. Make sure you pat yourself on the back once in a while for the sheer magnitude of obstacles you have overcome in your life to get to today. Be proud of that and excited about what’s next.
