It All Starts With the Basics

You’ll never reach your full potential if you don’t come to terms with process.


Drawing starts with basic shapes. Those basic shapes should form an interesting “silhouette”. Once you have a nice base, THEN you start to refine it. Find the muscles, define the limbs and fingers, add the outfit, add the details of the outfit, add the atmosphere and other elements that root your figure while also lifting it from the page, etc.


The life of the piece begins and ends with that initial shape. All the extra details should simply enhance or complement that form.


Just my opinion tho… you can also do whatever you want. lol😅
