If you want to get better at art, do art

Work begets work

If you’re unsure about how to move forward in your chosen path, return to the basics and work on that which you want to do more.

These headshots are piling up because I’ve been doing headshots.

This is the second Spider Man Venomizing because of the first I posted.

This is another Thundercat character because I posted a Mummra a few days back.

I get attention for my comic art because I work on, post, and show my comic art.

I don’t want to sound condescending here, but this isn’t rocket science.

Whatever you do multiplies.

Your work multiplies. Your attitude multiplies. Your thoughts multiply.

If you want less of something in your life, stop giving it attention.

Stop watering that plant.

If you want more of something… whether that be work, or love, or kindness, make sure your behavior invites and encourages more of those things.

You cannot want less of something and simultaneously give it attention, because that attention will only cause it to multiply. You must counter it by giving attention to the thing you actually want in its place.

So if you want to get better at art, do art.
