I'm just getting started

Stop thinking you’re gonna nail it the first time.
I’m not sure how many times I’ve drawn Ghost Rider. Even still, I feel like I have more to learn in my attempts to best capture and express MY version of him.
And there are dozens of characters I feel this way about.
Spider Man, Hellboy, Superman, Punisher, Daredevil, Batman, Venom, and on and on and on.
The curiosity of how YOU see a character should be a beacon of inspiration to continue learning all of their various traits.
The skull, fire, and leather textures of Ghost Rider. The blockiness, the over sized hands and the shaved horns of Hellboy. The overwhelming power and compassion of Superman. The grit of Punisher. The lanky flexibility of Spider Man.
All of these things are different elements to master. And doing each of them can help your brain better understand their differences and expand your ability to expose their essence.
I’m just getting started and I have such a long way to go. But the journey of discovering my voice is an adventure well worth embracing.
