Hard Days

Some days you’re just not good.

Last night was a battle. I spent at least 90 min just spitting out one garbage approach after another. My brain was NOT cooperating.

I almost quit several times.

Sometimes it’s ok to accept that it just isn’t gonna happen that day. But yesterday, I absolutely refused to give up. This cover was going to get done and I was going to win.

I don’t know if it was my love for Street Fighter and the nostalgic competitiveness it brewed in me. But I needed to at LEAST finish it.

It sold immediately, along with a purchased upgrade (getting it graded by CGC) and an additional commission from the same client.

There are easy days and hard days… but we show up on all of them.
