"Good art"

Most people have no idea what I’m actually working on.
I get a “critic” here and there spouting their entirely unqualified advice about what I need to “work on”.
I get people saying I need to work on my proportions, or my anatomy. They say I need to work on my inking technique. They see a flaw in my art and point that out as fast as they can, because in their mind, that’s what I’m trying to do.
“Good art.”
Which is of course only good if it meets their personal standards. lol
Homey, I’m not worried about what I did right or wrong in that one piece of art. It’s already done and it already has thousands of people that like it. I’ve moved on.
I’m not here to make ONE piece of art to your liking. I’m here to find greatness in myself. And I promise you, YOU don’t know what that requires. Because it sure doesn’t have to do with how big or small I draw a hand on a body.
It has to do with showing up and finding MY artistic voice. It has to do with sharing my love, and passion, and determination with people. It has to do with me building this life and seeing what I’m capable of.
I’m capable of “perfect”, but I’d way rather be me.
