Garyvee dropped by

Of course this is a brag. But more importantly, I hope it’s a beacon.

I had no reason to believe @garyvee would respond to me. All logic would dictate his responding to one of my messages being on a level of improbability closer to hitting the lottery.

But then again, improbability and I became partners decades ago.

In April of 2023 I reached out to Gary as a longshot to let him know my K!ckstarter had a premium tier option to get drawn into the comic we were putting out.

That KS came and went, and I thought little of it as I continued to work and develop my skills, my voice, and my audience.

8 months ago, I got a response.

“Damn wish I saw this!”

A brief conversation occurred, and we’ve spoken a few times since. I let him know I would be in New York and he was kind enough to stop by my booth at NYCC to say hello.

Tbh, I have no idea if anything will come of this. I don’t know if we’ll end up working together. I don’t know if we’ll develop a friendship. I don’t really know anything, but I do know this…

I’m on my path.

I’m building something.

And people are starting to notice.

Really notice.

And while it would be incredible to work alongside Gary, or any industry titan, I’m not relying on them or anyone else to believe in me.

I believe in me.

Like you should believe in you.

The world deserves the best version of you. And the best version of you can only come into existence if you trust your passion, and dedicate everything in you to bring that to light.

Not for fame, or fortune.

Not for attention, or power.

But for the peace it will bring when you realize what you’re truly capable of.

So yeah I’m bragging a bit. I celebrate my wins openly and I think that’s a reasonable and healthy thing to do after almost 30 years of perceived losing.

But most importantly I want this to be a beacon of possibility.

And I hope you realize

it’s calling YOUR name.
