Eff it up!

I was just watching a reel from this IG guy @ariatinsta who walks around with this entire music rig attached to his body. He finds random musicians and vocalists and collaborates with them live on the street. Making beats on the spot and creating fantastic content.

In the latest vid he himself does some freestyle to add to the song and his finishing line was “I fuck it up and then I try again”.

Now, I know he didn’t realize in that moment how sick that line is. He probably thought he messed up and just went with it.

But I love not only the attitude of “I fuck it up and I try again”, meaning “it’s whatever… I messed up but I’m gonna keep going”, but ALSO how it could be a double entendre with that phrase being a play on the concept of him crushing the moment.

If you’re a tough guy, you’re gonna fuck someone up. If you’re using that colloquially, it means to dominate.

So he’s simultaneously saying, I’m winning AND I screwed up, and either way, I’m gonna do it again.

Dude, goose bumps when I think about it.

It’s such an embodiment to everything I’m constantly preaching on here.

“Pick something and become a total badass at it.”

This means failure after failure after failure after success after success after success. They are forever entwined together. One cannot exist without the other.

So, please take that idea of yours and fail, and win, and either way, keep going.
