Enduring and pushing through the seemingly impossible

Broken mind and spirit desperately clinging onto wisps of hope

Crumbs of possibility feeding an empty stomach

But I knew something most didn’t

How to reflect on a future not yet seen

How to come to terms with inevitable failure

How to accept the possibility of death before achievement

How to cope with the eyes of judgement, disdain, ignorance, and arrogance

We are constantly at war

But if I am here

and I am breathing

I still have life in me to be utilized for the betterment of myself and to provide the sustenance of inspiration for my fellow human

Every day

Every night

I reflect in the calm of potential, consistently pursuing light over dark, hope over despair, and love over hate

As a warrior
