Create your own gravity

Don’t chase your dreams.
The best decision I ever made in my career was when I stopped chasing after my dreams and instead started to create my own gravity that pulled those that would support my dreams toward me.
I quit having a mindset that believed I needed to prove myself to someone else to gain permission from them.
I gave myself patience, consistency, and endurance. I became solely focused on becoming undeniable in my skillset. I focused only on the work and showing the work.
I knew that if someone was going to hire me, I needed my skills to be sharp and on-demand. I knew that I had to have confidence in my ability. I knew that I needed to be prepared to deliver any request, and none of that would happen without the proper skills and preparation.
It all begins and ends at the desk.
So I worked, not to prove to others, but to build a library that pulled people into my work. You may not have liked any of last weeks pieces, but at some point, you will like today’s.
It was inevitable. It is still inevitable.
It’s a simple equation. I’m not stopping anytime soon, so my pull will continue to expand because I will continue to work.
