Can't lose

I wasn’t in the mood to draw anything that day. I had no motivation or inspiration.

Sometimes, when I’m uninspired and feeling bummed I have learned to think about someone that might be extra stoked to get something from me as a gift… then it hit me.

@stevendmichael had a Bday right around the corner, and there is no bigger One Piece fan.

Luffy is one of his favorites, so I set out to conquer. And as it happens so often, when my intentions are selfless, and the focus is on the excitement of the recipient, I ended up creating one of my favorite drawings still to this day.

I’m still working on channeling that vibe more consistently. Creation for those that will appreciate. Less focus or concern about whether it will sell, or for how much. But instead on the elation of the future recipient.
