Best

These comic cover thumbnail roughs are for an upcoming book over at @thepremonitionproject by Kevin Crook. He and I have had dozens of discussions leading up to this. All in an attempt for me to understand what he wants, for him to understand what I can provide, and for us to come to the best possible conclusion when it comes to serving his book.

Ego cannot be the driving force. What I want and what he wants is irrelevant. What BEST serves the book? What BEST serves to tell the story and intrigue the reader into opening the book?

This is going to be more work than I had anticipated, but it will be what’s BEST. And doing what’s best is always the driving goal. Because doing everything to the best of my capabilities will lead to greatness.

Today’s best may not be tomorrow’s best. Hell… it better not be. I better grow. I better expand. I better push my limits further and further out. And in doing so, I KNOW I will go further than I could have ever imagined.
