Be in the now

Get lost in the details…

The stress of life often keeps me panicked about what hasn’t yet been done. How much is still left to do. How much more there is to learn. All the things left to accomplish.

But art is the rare place where the only thing that matters is what’s happening on the page. It’s that rare moment where time and mind seem to finally work in unison.

Zoning out and doing these webs for almost 3 hours reminded me of the importance of being in the now. Letting go of perfect structure and form. Playing with the shapes and the knowledge I’ve accumulated through the years, and just trust the process.

This piece was tedious, but ultimately a total blast. I’m super stoked with how it turned out and can’t wait for what’s next.
