How do I get better at anatomy?

Study it. Practice it. Do it over and over and over and over and over and over and… (you get the idea)

There are so many elements to practice beyond making a cool bicep, or ripped abs. Like these neck muscles for example.

I’ve been focusing on that area for a while now. I feel like it’s a great spot to show the gritting of the teeth, or the stretch of the jaw with a scream. It brings texture and contrast to the larger muscle groups. It can frame the face in a star like pattern, bringing focus.

It’s not just about learning the anatomy either. It’s about interpreting it in a way that is visually appealing to the viewer, and mechanically appealing to the artist.

It’s supposed to be fun people!

So have fun!
