Doubt is a powerful thing.

How many hours of practice have I spent? How many drawings have I done? How many clients have I delivered for?

But, still I struggle.

I can’t explain it. It defies logic. I still sit down at the desk, hesitant to believe anything I’ll ever do, or have ever done is ever going to be good enough.

And honestly, I don’t even know what that would be. I can’t even define what a perfect piece of work would look like. But I sure know when I haven’t done it.

I’m better able to move forward despite this because I’ve learned to let go of the final result and focus only on whether I;

1. tried

2. made the best and truest-to-myself-choices that I could.

If I did that, then I let the whatever the viewers responses be whatever they are.

It is what it is.

(lol)

So basically, who cares? It’s just a piece of art. It’s one of hundreds I’ll do this year, one of 10’s, maybe 100’s of thousands I’ll do in my lifetime.

I’m gonna worry about this one? Nah.

I’ll do my best, but once it’s done, it’s just on to the next one.

My job is to create.
