Creative intrigue

I knew nothing about anime this time last year.
Well that’s not completely true. I knew my buddy liked it. But I was not impressed at all at the time.
Then I started drawing again, and eventually conceded to the pressure from the anime community to start drawing characters from their favorite shows.
I didn’t get it at first. But the more I drew, the more curious I got. And that curiosity soon bloomed into full blown stylistic overhaul of everything I had known before.
One Piece and all of its characters have become a go-to when I’m in need of some creative expression. Admittedly I’m still early in the viewing of the anime, but the deeper I dive, the more I get it.
Luffy was a turning point for me stylistically. He opened up the exaggerated poses that have become a hallmark in my more recent work.
I can’t thank the fans enough for pushing me into this new world. I’ve never been more entranced with my creative intrigue, and I owe it to all of you!
